Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her career in show business in the early years of her life. At the age of 16, she turned sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra worked on several important international and national projects through the years. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. Her other roles include being an official jury member for both The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
